Caserta is located at North of Naples in fact it is a short ride by car from the Neapolitan town. The city of Caserta is known as the “Versailles of Naples” for its eighteenth century “Palazzo Reale” generally known as “La Reggia”. A splendid Royal residence commissioned in the eighteenth century by Charles of Bourbon, king of Naples and Sicily, based on a project by Luigi Vanvitelli. It is the largest royal residence in the world by volume; for this reason, the visitors can admire the pomp of the building or stroll the immense ground and gardens.
